I know how you feel. I receive hundreds of emails each week with different yet similar stories. I tried to create a forum to help vent your thoughts but I feel many do not want to spend the time to register ... I encourage you to do so. For those of you who simply want to voice your situation anonymously, this is it!:)

My teeth need major work right now the side of my face has been swollen for days this has gone on for a year or so on and off do to a crown that was not placed properly. I'm in pain as I type.. i've had a lot of unfinished and bad dental work done while i was in the Army that is now getting worst. SCREEN NAME: beckabuck I have had nothing but challenges my entire adult life & the most difficult happened in Nov. 1989 which led to several re-constructive surgeries and still having trouble! One of the troubles (caused by so many surgeries & anesthesia) is my destroyed gums and teeth...which I will lose completely soon if nothing is done. I've continued to work...& I mean WORK all along, even though I have trouble walking. But now, I've lost my job due to the unexpected death of my boss and good friend...which happened only 2 months after the death of my Dad. Topping off with the cut in hours my husband has suffered on his job. His company was the source of our insurance, and they've dropped it in order to save money because the work has fallen to almost nothing. All year he has yet to work more than a 30 hour week...& that's a good week. I've always managed to find work, but nobody's going to hire a toothless administrative assistant or office manager! Appearance has always been an important part of my positions held. We make a few dollars (technically...only a FEW DOLLARS!) too much to qualify for ANY HELP ANYWHERE. we would probably better off if my husband lost his job too! How messed up is that? I need to get help from someone somewhere soon, otherwise, I'm going to start looking for a bed in a shelter somewhere and just walk away from our home we worked hard for the past 20 years to own. We are 4 months behind on the mortgage, & I,m almost finished trying at this point. If I'm going to land a decent job, I need dental work. I need it for free. I need it now. I'm so frustrated that it's a hair away from "pissed" and I'm don't want to be a bitter angry person, but it's starting to look like that was the plan from beginning of my life. If you have any resources that are REAL and FREE...actually FREE without a hidden surprise cost to me to obtain info, etc. please let me know. Thank you for letting me vent. | |
